Camden has worked with the Ordre des denturologistes du Québec (ODQ) since 2015.

French-speaking Quebecers have been privy to our multi-platform campaign for years, but what about English-speaking denture wearers?

The ODQ wanted to reach that new audience and tasked Camden with breaking the ice.

Just words

While prosthetic dentistry professionals in most Canadian provinces are known as “denturists,” Quebec legislation defines them as “denturologists,” meaning the entire industry has had to follow suit.

Camden decided to put the terminological foible front and centre with a tongue-in-cheek animation of text against a white background spelling out situations calling for a trained, certified denturologist: hockeypuckintheteethologist, bitintoacherrypitologist…

The simple, effective animation was produced in-house by our team of motion designers at our Lyon office.

Doing the math

The commercial ran on CTV in Quebec, while a different creative aired for the French‑language market.

Two markets. Two strategies. Big results.

la Pensée rebelle

“Sometimes, less it more. This was one of those times. The insight—that people don’t know what the word denturologist means—was more than enough to get our creative gears moving.”
