International advertising network Camden opens Hong Kong creative hub

Asia Pacific expansion marks company’s 30th anniversary

January 19 2021 – International advertising network Camden has announced the opening of a new boutique office in Hong Kong, joining current offices in Canada and France. Founded in Montreal in 1991, Camden is an independent agency steeped in local flavour and driven by global know-how. This new office will become the network’s creative hub for the Asia Pacific region, joining existing regional creative hubs in Montreal (North America) and Lyon (Europe), and a worldwide media hub in Toronto.

Camden’s Hong Kong office is a multilingual one-stop shop where ambitious brands come to tell their stories. Its core strengths lie within five key areas:

  • An unrivalled full-service offering from a Hong Kong boutique agency, with a particular focus on digital content strategy, creative development, and production
  • A creative offering that delivers high-value brand identities across social media, websites, and video
  • Expertise across a broad range of sectors from sport to finance and luxury to wellness
  • A strong global track record of working with household names from Clarins to Mercedes
  • A truly bespoke, agile approach that clients have come to value as part of a boutique offering, with zero compromise on quality.

Camden’s strategic and creative work is driven by a refreshingly bold approach called Pivotal Thinking. This is the agency’s steadfast commitment to awareness, understanding and helping clients communicate better by challenging the status quo and digging deeper, asking questions to ensure consistently effective solutions.

Camden’s Hong Kong creative hub will be run by Lucie Marceaux, formerly of 1969 Hong Kong, Forever Beta London and Ogilvy & Mather London. Bringing extensive experience across the agency's core expertise of social media, digital and editorial content strategy, Marceaux has an excellent track record of delivering results driven solutions to clients.

“We are incredibly excited to bring Camden’s creative expertise and energy to a city as vibrant and dynamic as Hong Kong,” stated Mathieu Bédard, Camden Network CEO. “This launch marks an important milestone on our journey as an agency. Our vision is to build a human-scale international network – a network focused on what brands and advertisers need and expect in 2021 and beyond. Our office will be spearheaded by the fantastically talented Lucie Marceaux, who brings a wealth of international experience to the table with brand-building insights specific to the Hong Kong market.”

“I am delighted to be part of such a landmark moment in Camden’s history,” added Lucie Marceaux, General Manager of Camden’s Hong Kong office. After 30 years of focusing our talent on the marketing goals of clients in Europe and North America, I can’t think of a better place than Hong Kong to help us realise our ambitious plans for the future. We are committed to solutions that are strategic and creative, but we are always results-oriented. I am truly excited for clients in Hong Kong to experience our way of working and have been delighted with the buzz our work is already generating.”

Camden’s Hong Kong office has already secured several new, high profile business wins including the delivery of a LinkedIn CSR campaign for leading Asian fintech company Contineo; and a brand strategy project for respected global leader in sports equipment Decathlon. ''It's a pleasure to collaborate with an agency that knows how to be flexible and adapt to our needs,” commented Lisa Noraz, coCEO, Decathlon Hong Kong. “We were looking for a partner that can act almost as if they are part of our team for a strategic project in Hong Kong, so we needed an agency that both knows the market and could still bring a different perspective to our work.”

Furthermore, the agency has recently been hired by global asset management firm Natixis Investment Managers to produce a social media campaign: ''Camden were quick to demonstrate a great understanding of our brief from the outset,” stated Stephanie Fraudin, Head of Marketing & Communications, Asia Pacific, Natixis Investment Managers. “They have worked alongside us to map out a well thought-out LinkedIn campaign that has really brought our brand and key themes to life in new and creative ways. We can’t wait to see it go live.”
