The CMMTQ launches its new brand platform

Montréal, April 4th, 2023 – On the eve of its 75th anniversary, the Corporation des maîtres mécaniciens en tuyauterie du Québec (CMMTQ), which brings together more than 2,800 specialised contractors working in the field of building mechanics, particularly in plumbing and heating, unveiled its new brand identity on March 30.

Following a 2019 brand analysis, several findings pointed the CMMTQ towards a renewal of its image, notably an undistinctive logo, a lack of member awareness of the Corporation's role and a perception of their trades that did not reflect reality. This major project was carried out by Camden's teams in Montreal, in close collaboration with the CMMTQ, to update the general public's perception of the expertise and professionalism of the Corporation's members, to increase their sense of pride and belonging and to promote the appeal of their trades to a new generation of workers who are in greater demand than ever before.

Mathieu Bédard, CEO, Camden: "This large and important mandate is at the crossroads of Camden's experience in the professional orders and associations sector and the agency's expertise in branding, a core service of our offering. We are privileged to have contributed to the historic brand renewal of a major organisation in the Quebec landscape.

The project included a reimagined brand platform, complete with a visual identity, brand book, member kit, launch video and the development of an advertising concept with several variations. A member campaign and contest were also launched on March 30, encouraging members to proudly display the Corporation's revamped image. The new signature, "De mains de maîtres" (In the hands of masters), deliberately uses the plural to evoke the multitude of the thousands of members in the organisation and their trades while highlighting their expertise.

"After more than thirty years, a renewal was necessary to maintain and strengthen the credibility of the Corporation and its members. Laser focused on the future, this new image was designed to be sustainable and will support the ambitions of our members by emphasizing the excellence of their know-how," concludes Nadine Bourgeois, Director of Communications at the CMMTQ.
