Turning Recruitment into a Brand Experience

As Décathlon continued to expand across Canada, the company needed to recruit at scale in a saturated, post-pandemic job market facing a major labour shortage. The challenge: attract and retain the right talent while building an authentic, human, and locally resonant employer brand aligned with the organization’s values. The idea was simple: Décathlon isn’t looking for résumés — it’s looking for unique talents waiting to be revealed.

The campaign concept draws inspiration from collectible cards, transforming them into a celebration of the diversity and unique journeys that lead people to careers at Décathlon. We also enhanced the candidate experience through creative activations — from speed-dating under a tent to TikTok interviews, making the recruitment process as dynamic and energizing as sport itself. Results : A unified employer brand that positioned Décathlon as a true talent discoverer, generating over 500 qualified applications in just six weeks!
